SUMMARY:DMR Match
DESCRIPTION:Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Mid-Range Gas Gun Match on March 28 in Parma. This match will be the same day as the 2 gun night match\, but in the morning. This is a match designed to push the distance of your gas guns. Ranges and target sizes are selected for someone using a rifle capable of ~ 1.5 MOA with a 1-8x optic to still complete the course of f ire. Targets will be about 600 yards max with most being between 200 and 400 yards. This match is designed to challenge a shooter with moderate experience in a competitive environment. New shooters are welcome but understand this may be a difficult first match. Compared to the last 2 Parma DMR matches\, this will be slightly less complex with target sizes remaining roughly the same. There is little to no reset which allows us to finish early in the day. Round Count: 80 to 120 rounds. 20 rounds max per stage. Scoring: Time Plus Penalties. Targets are hit to move on unless specified. 15 second penalty for every remaining target. 120 second par time. Divisions: Light: 5.56 with 16” max barrel length and 8x max magnification. No Bipod. Heavy: Any caliber with 18” max barrel length and 10x max magnification. Bipod Allowed. Open: Any caliber\, any magnification\, any barrel length\, bipod allowed. Gear: One practical sized shooting bag/sandbag and/or backpack allowed as support from any position. Bipod depending on division. No steel core ammo. Match grade ammo is highly recommended as 55gr gets easily pushed in the wind and hardly moves steel targets. Slings Optional. Please bring tripods with binos/spotting scopes to help spot other shooters. Timeline: Setup will be completed before shooters arrive. 0730 – Zero Confirmation – 3 gun lane behind target shed. 0830 – Shooters Meeting/Walkthrough – 3 gun lane behind target shed. 0900 – Match Begins. ~ 1400 – Awards
